The ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ (UP), through the UP Padayon Public Service Office, has established the UP Padayon-Bagyong Pepito Relief Operations Center to extend assistance to families affected by Typhoon Pepito (Manyi).
The Relief Operations Center, located at Fonacier Hall (beside Ang Bahay ng Alumni) along Magsaysay Avenue in the UP Diliman campus, is open to receive in-kind donations from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily until Friday, November 22. A second drop-off point will be set up beside the newly opened Robinsons Easymart at the UP Shopping Center along Laurel Street.
This initiative, part of the UP System’s #PepitoPH relief efforts, seeks to mobilize the UP community—including student organizations, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners—to provide immediate and organized support to affected families in Baguio, Bicol, Cagayan, and other areas impacted by the typhoon.
The goal is to distribute at least 2,000 relief packs, each containing food and essential items sufficient for a family of five for one week. The UP Padayon Office is also working to establish official channels for cash donations to support these efforts.
The following donations are accepted at the Fonacier Hall:
- Food: Canned goods, ready-to-eat meals, biscuits, and other non-perishable items
- Water: Bottled water for drinking and daily use
- Hygiene Kits: Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary pads, and other essential hygiene items
- First Aid Kits: Bandages, antiseptics, and basic first aid supplies
The Relief Operations Center welcomes volunteers from the UP community to assist with donation sorting and packing.
