Starting December 27 2024, qualified employees of the ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ (UP) received the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for fiscal year 2024.

According to a memorandum released by the UP Office of the Vice President for Administration (OVPA), the incentive recognizes government employees’ contributions to achieving government goals, such as the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.

The SRI was granted to regular full-time and part-time UP faculty, REPS, and administrative staff with an employer-employee relationship with the University. Employees must have rendered at least four months of satisfactory service as of Nov. 30, 2024, and remained in government as of that date.

Qualified employees received an SRI of P20,000. Those who rendered less than four months of service were entitled to a percentage of the full SRI. Employees who rendered less than four months of service received a percentage of the full SRI:

  • Three to less than four months: P8,000
  • Two to less than three months: P6,000
  • One to less than two months: P4,000
  • Less than one month: P2,000 (10% of the full incentive)

Memorandum No. ACR 24-163, which contained the guidelines for the granting of the SRI, was released on Dec. 18, 2024 and signed by UP Vice President for Administration Augustus Resureccion.
