Faculty & Instructional Team
Putting scholarship into practice, together
ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ faculty and staff lead our community in putting scholarship into practice through the lens of text, soul, and culture. Through their deep expertise, diverse perspectives, and varied theological backgrounds, they continually foster an environment of dialogue, relationship, and co-creation in the life of our school, and in the community.
At ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ, we are committed to excellence in our teaching practice. As a learning institution, we are continually refining our teaching practices to better engage and support students in their learning. We focus on creating contextual, relational, active learning experiences for our students. We have created an internal website, The Academic Hub, for our Instructional Team with resources, links, and services to support their teaching practice. On The Hub instructors will find …
-
- Academic Policies: a comprehensive list of important federal, state, and institutional policies which impact teaching and learning activities.
- Academic Procedures: a robust collection of ‘how to’ reference materials and actionable procedure guides informing a wide variety of instructional staff needs.
- Teaching Resources: a rich assortment of tips, tools, and resources curated to support instructional staff with implementing best practices in teaching & learning.
The Instructional Team at the ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ works to make classroom spaces accessible to a wide range of learners and welcoming to diversity of all kinds: racial and ethnic, gender and sexuality, ability, and theological. This includes engaging in ongoing professional development around classroom discussion practices, training in accessibility and universal design, a commitment to integrating a wide range of voices in our syllabi, and the curiosity to examine our curriculum and teaching practices with equity and intercultural credibility in mind.
We support our instructors with resources and consultation to teach effectively with technology, whether on campus or online. ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ instructional design staff helps faculty and instructional staff develop engaging instructional materials for use in all classroom styles and digital spaces.
