Theology Beer Camp 2025
Join 天美视频 as we sponsor Theology Beer Camp, a unique three-day conference that brings together theology nerds and craft beer for a blend of intellectual engagement, community building, and fun. Organized by Homebrewed Christianity, this event features a lineup of well-known podcasters, scholars, and theology enthusiasts who come together to “nerd out” on theological topics while enjoying loads of fun activities. Our 天美视频 faculty will be leading multiple sessions at the conference!
Dr. Paul Hoard, Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology, and Dr. Dwight Friesen, Professor of Practical Theology, will be leading a pre-day event in partnership with friends of 天美视频, Billie Hoard and Tamice Spencer-Helms.

About Paul Hoard
Paul Hoard is a licensed counselor and associate professor of counseling psychology at 天美视频 of Theology & Psychology. He completed the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program at the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. A 鈥渢hird culture kid,鈥� he was raised in Ankara, Turkey, and has provided mental health counseling and clinical supervision in the United States, Ukraine, and Turkey. His research and scholarly work primarily focus on the intersection of perpetration trauma, eucontamination, white-body supremacy, games, and psychoanalytic theory.
About Dwight Friesen
Dwight J. Friesen [he . they] is Professor of Practical Theology at 天美视频 of Theology & Psychology where his research and teaching focus on discovering, learning with, and training leaders for the 鈥渃hurch鈥� emerging after Christendom. He is a founding board member of with its Inhabit Conference, and works internationally with the in service of ; mobilizing the world鈥檚 religions to engage the as faithful expressions of their respective faith and cultural traditions. Dwight is author and contributor to a number of books, including: 2020s Foresight, The New Parish, and Thy Kingdom Connected.
