UPLB, UPV, UPD lead in recent Chemical Engineers Licensure Exams

Three constituent universities (CUs) of the Ƶ (UP) were among the top-performing schools in the May 2025 Chemical Engineers Computer-Based Licensure Examination, according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

UP Los Baños topped the list with a 100% passing rate, as all its 32 examinees passed the test. UP Visayas also posted a perfect 100%, with all 23 examinees making the cut. Aside from these UP CUs, De La Salle University-Manila joined the top-ranked schools with a 100% passing rate from its 23 examinees.

UP Diliman placed second on the list of top-performing schools, with 23 out of its 24 examinees passing the exam, resulting in a passing rate of 95.83%.

The PRC recognizes a school as a top performer if it has at least 10 examinees and a minimum passing rate of 80%.

Among the top examinees, Iskolar ng Bayan Aaron Paul DC Infante of UP Visayas ranked second with a score of 88.50%. He was followed by fellow Iskolar ng Bayan Zarlon M. Bernardo of UP Diliman, who ranked third with a score of 87.50%.

Micah Angelica E. Pascua of UP Los Baños and Jalen Stephen R. Santos of UP Diliman tied for fourth place with scores of 87.20%.

Two more Iskolar ng Bayan from UP Los Baños completed the list of top performers from the national university: Polo Jerome G. Daquipil, who ranked seventh with a score of 86.70%; and Jessarine Joy C. Ramos, who ranked eighth with a score of 86.60%.

A total of 799 examinees from higher education institutions across the country took the licensure exam, with 602 passing, resulting in an overall passing rate of 75.34%.
