An Iskolar ng Bayan from UPD also lands on rank one of the top successful examinees
The Ƶ (UP) Diliman emerged as the top performing school in the May 2025 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants released by the Professional Regulation Commission on June 4, 2025. All 60 examinees from UPD passed the exam.
According to the PRC, a higher educational institution can only be considered as a top performing school for the exam if it had at least 50 examinees and posting at least an 80% passing rate.
Among the examinees from UPD, Iskolar ng Bayan John Elrich R. Gamboa landed in rank one, posting a rating of 92.67%. He is the lone graduate of the national university who landed in the top ranks for successful test takers.
Aside from UPD, UP Tacloban also posted a 100% passing rate with all of its nine examinees successfully passing the exams. UP Visayas also had all of its six first-time test-takers pass the test. One of its two retakers, unfortunately, did not make the cut, resulting in an overall passing rate of 87.50%.
A total of 9,533 examinees from different HEIs nationwide took the exams, with only 3,156 successfully passing it with flying colors, resulting in an overall 33.11% passing rate.
