The ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ Visayas (UP Visayas) Iloilo City has been named the top performing school in the October 2024 Licensure Exam for Fisheries Professionals, according to an announcement by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Oct. 16.Â
Among schools with at least 30 test takers and an 80% passing rate, UP Visayas posted a near-perfect result, with 42 of 43 successful examinees (96.67%).
Eight UP Visayas graduates ranked among the top 10 examinees. AJ March Ryanne Belago Felongco led the group, taking first place with a score of 91.75%. He was followed by Julie Ann Claire Nedula Nique in joint fourth place (90.75%), Thea Irish Barcellano Pentason in sixth (90.25%), Bea Isobelle Abkilan Villaluz in seventh (89.75%), and four others in joint tenth place (89.0%): Cryselle Anne Sepe Barniso, Yvenge Erre de la Cruz Gayosa, Ma. Sandrei Dejaros Sarmiento, and Shyalamar Sefil Sañor.
Of the 1,509 hopefuls who took the October exam from universities, colleges, and other higher education institutions across the Philippines, 1,005 passed, resulting in a national passing rate of 66.60%.
