The UP Korea Research Center will be hosting the 10th Philippine Korean Studies Symposium from April 28 to 29, 2025. In relation to the event, UP KRC is calling on interested individuals for paper submissions.
Since 2012, the Philippine Korean Studies Symposium (PKSS) has become a venue for Philippine scholars and educators who have taken a particular interest in Korean studies. The annual event has provided a platform for the accumulation and exchange of new studies on Korea, as well as the dicussion of insights on events in the peninsula.
The PKSS is intended to promote academic research on Korea-related studies by Filipino scholars here and abroad; strengthen Korean studies as area studies, and to develop networks with both local and international institutions. The symposium also features the prospects of Korean studies by providing vital information through quality research.
Interested parties are encouraged to take note of the following dates:
9 Feb 2025 – Submission of abstracts
23 Feb 2025 – Notification of acceptance
28-29 April 2025 – Conference dates
25 May 2025 – Submission of full paper
Submissions must be made in the following format:
– Individual paper presentation;
– Panel paper presentation (Maximum 3 papers per panel)
