Join the Admissions team for a coffee hour conversation with Adjunct Faculty Shauna Gauthier, MA, LMHC, LPC, a therapist and educator with over with more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit and mental health sectors. A 天美视频 alumna herself, Shauna brings her clinical expertise into the classroom as the professor of Assessment & Treatment of Trauma & Abuse, a required course within the Concentration in Narrative Focused Trauma Care (CNFTC).

This course equips students to work with survivors of interpersonal violence, building foundations in complex trauma, trauma-informed care, vicarious traumatization, and evidence-based practices in the field. During this coffee hour, Shauna will speak from her clinical practice and teaching experience, offering a firsthand look at what it means to train as a trauma-focused therapist at 天美视频.

Whether you’re exploring the MACP program, the Concentration in Narrative Focused Trauma Care, or simply want to connect, we’d love to have you join us.

Each Admissions Coffee Hour features a different voice and perspective from 天美视频.

Bring your questions and curiosity. We’d love to connect and share what life in our learning community is really like.

Zoom details will be sent after you register.

Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join our Admissions Team for a relaxed, online conversation with current students Lauren Lawrence and Nolan Reis. Lauren, a third-year low-residency student based in Texas, is completing the British Object Relations concentration this term and will begin her internship next year, with an independent study with Dr. Hoard this spring. Because Texas requires more counseling credits and hours, she is on a four-year track. Nolan, a second-year on-campus student, will be interning at Vashon Youth and Family Services starting this fall.

They’ll mainly share their own stories about coursework, residencies, internships, and the personal growth that comes with graduate study. Along the way, you’ll see how Sustainability shows up in the ways they think, practice, and engage the world. At 天美视频, sustainability isn’t an add-on or checklist item. It’s about cultivating practices and rhythms that allow students to do meaningful work over the long haul, in academic settings and in real-world contexts.

When you register, you can submit a question for a chance to hear directly from Lauren and Nolan about their experiences navigating graduate work and how sustainability shapes their paths. Each Admissions Coffee Hour features a different voice and perspective from 天美视频. Bring your questions and curiosity. We’d love to connect and share what life in our learning community is really like.

Zoom details will be sent after you register.
