A creative career path led Ligaya to 天美视频: instead of attending college, she chose to take a correspondence course on interior design and worked at a furniture store where she was introduced to the world of entrepreneurship. After being a self-employed bookkeeper for a decade, Ligaya responded to a Craigslist posting for an accounting position 鈥揳nd she got the job, arriving at 天美视频 in 2012. As a half-Filipina woman who previously applied for numerous college scholarships unsuccessfully, Ligaya finds another full-circle moment in her career with her work on the scholarship committee, awarding deserving recipients, while getting to know their unique stories.

A Missionary Kid who grew up in the Philippines, Ligaya appreciates those who truly love serving and helping others. In high school, she worked in an office, served as class Treasurer, traveled, and sang with the Gospel Team. Now she works in an office, deals with the Treasury at the Department of Education, travels with her husband and sons, and occasionally sings at local churches (and at 天美视频)… then and now have similarities, just leveled up!

Water gives her life. Ligaya and her sons are most happy around any body of water, whether it’s at a giant water park or in kayaks at a small lake, or on an island like Maui, a post-pandemic treat! Her personal relationship with her Creator and Savior is at the forefront of all she does. Ligaya鈥檚 hope is to show agape love to all who cross her path while keeping it real.

Happy to help people find a good system, Kwang loves to learn new technologies. As part of a professional team in IT, he enjoys planning, configuring, providing support, and troubleshooting.

Kwang鈥檚 career in technology began during his mandatory military service for South Korea. He later received a certificate in programming from IBM Korea. In 2000, he moved to the United States and attended Highline Community College and then Eastern Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Technology with a minor in business. He also received a Master of Business Administration with Project Management from City University of Seattle.

Traveling to Europe is on top of Kwang鈥檚 bucket list. Visiting NYC reminds him of Seoul, South Korea, his hometown. Kwang loves road trips and watching movies and dramas.

Prior to coming to 天美视频, Cheryl spent 24 years as a medical librarian, where she was actively involved in local and regional professional associations. Cheryl received her BA in History (1979) from the University of California San Diego and her Master鈥檚 in Librarianship (1982) from the University of Washington. Cheryl comes from a diverse denominational background; she was raised in the Catholic Church, joined a Baptist church in college, moved to a Presbyterian church near her home when her children were school-age, and recently returned to the small congregational (nominally Baptist) church she attended when she first moved to Seattle.

Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her husband (Paul), adult daughters (Megan and Mary), and her 鈥渇orever family.鈥� She is also fortunate to have had the opportunity to take some amazing trips (Northern Ireland, Hawaii, Scotland, and Greece) in recent years and is looking forward to future ones.

Globally, she enjoys working with brands and organizations whose messaging and purpose bring about positive social change in the world. Gretchen was drawn to the expansive culture of 天美视频 as well as to its focus on relationship, collaboration, and healing.

Her work experience has been shaped by both big-brand ad agency spaces as well as non-profits. For more than ten years, Gretchen built brand and visual content for an anti-trafficking nonprofit, telling stories of freedom and new life for children and families in Ghana. She brings a passion to use hopeful and ethical storytelling to create design and culture that fosters empowerment and sustainability. Gretchen holds a BFA in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Photography from Abilene Christian University.

An avid marathon and trail runner, Gretchen also enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time in the mountains. She aspires to visit and explore all of the National Parks. Typically she鈥檚 reading no fewer than four books at a time. Based in Texas, Gretchen feels at home in a number of places across the globe.

Having grown up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Becca is a child of changing seasons, complex stories, art rooms and soccer fields. She attended college at the University of Delaware, then spent two years in Ireland learning from and serving in Irish faith communities. In 2009 she journeyed to Seattle to pursue a Master of Divinity from 天美视频, which she completed in 2013. Then, after a season of vocational discernment and living the quintessential barista life, Becca returned to 天美视频 as the Manager of Student Life Programs in 2018. In this role, she delights to integrate and engage her ever deepening love of God, people, and stories with her passion for hospitality and cultivating tangible experiences of welcome, participation and belonging.

Becca has found home in the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest and loves backpacking, campfires, and time spent with the Salish Sea. In her free time she can often be found reading Harry Potter with her nephews, walking the streets of her neighborhood, crafting, and savoring the fruits of her CSA membership with Jubilee Farm.

Through Student Lifecycle and (S)ending programming and individualized support, Daniel resources students & alumni seeking licensure, ordination, and vocational development support. In coordination with Academics, he manages disability services, establishing academic accommodations for students with disabilities. Together with the other members of the Student & Academic Services team, Daniel provides pastoral care and assistance in accessing resources for students in need, and support for underrepresented student groups.

Born Pentecostal in Southern Appalachia and raised in the Deep South, they have been a lifelong student of religion, cultures, stories, and songs. As an artist who thinks theologically, playing with patterns, materiality, language, and form, Daniel weaves together mystic spirituality and embodied living.

He lives in Bremerton, WA with his husband, Justin, and enjoys reading, baking, gardening, and playing with their giant dogs, Howl and Doralee.

鈥淚t is a privilege to walk with students from the first day they enter our doors, virtual or physical, until they cross the stage at graduation,鈥� Kelsey says. She loves hearing about students鈥� lives and what draws them to their work. She also enjoys finding creative solutions to help students succeed while fitting graduate school into their already busy schedules. She sees her Registrar role as a continuation of her years of experience in teaching and academic coaching.

Kelsey holds a BA from the University of Delaware and an MDiv from Lancaster Theological Seminary. She received her PhD in Hebrew Bible (with a concentration in Women鈥檚 and Gender Studies) from Drew University in 2024. Her dissertation is entitled: 鈥淩emembering the Future: Exodus, Science Fiction, and the Strategies of Memory.鈥� Her research interests include science fiction, popular culture, coping with narratives of violence, cultural memory, contextual hermeneutics, and critical theory.
