Millicent serves as an Admissions Counselor where she has the privilege of introducing 天美视频 to prospective graduate school students and Allender Center participants alike. 鈥淚t is such an honor and a joy to be invited into story, to discover why 天美视频 fits with our students’ desires for the world, and how their stories have shaped and guided our students to our doors.鈥 She served on Student Leadership as Sacred Space Facilitator while pursuing her MDiv which she received in 2021.

She is drawn to 天美视频 for its progressive, alternative, and prophetic take on theology. A Jesus-following scholar-practitioner, her research interests are from an anti-colonial hermeneutic. Millicent is interested in and passionate about theologies that are truly life-giving and working towards breaking down systems of oppression.

In addition to her MDiv from 天美视频, Millicent holds an MA in Comparative Religion along with a BA in Comparative Religion, both from the University of Washington. She is also an American Academy of Religion Book Reviewer.

Millicent grew up in Hawai’i at the intersection of Christianity and Indigenous worldviews. While studying Religion at the University of Washington, she taught as a Teaching Assistant and Grader, and then as Faculty Liaison after graduating. After her roles at the University of Washington, she worked as The Director of Children’s Ministry for Seattle’s Awake Church, as both Godly Play Facilitator and Children’s Ministry Curriculum Writer, before becoming a pastoral intern.

Living with her family in Seattle, Millicent is a wife to Bradley, mama to one little one, and a dog mom to a cream French-Bo named Bailey. She is also a yoga instructor, a preschool co-op assistant teacher, an avid reader, and a planner of family adventures, local, national, and international.

Krista Law, MA, is a two-time graduate from 天美视频, bringing her experience as a psychotherapist, a teacher, and an administrator to her position as the Enrollment Manager.

She received her Bachelor鈥檚 in Communications from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a Masters of Counseling Psychology and a Masters of Christian Studies from 天美视频.

After her initial clinical work in a residential treatment center for drug and alcohol abuse, Krista went on to build a private practice and became a Washington State Approved Supervisor supporting newly graduated clinicians working towards licensure.

During this time, she was an Assistant Instructor and later an Adjunct professor at 天美视频. Krista also served on the leadership and teaching team at her local church.

Before transitioning out of clinical work, Krista blended her psychotherapeutic and teaching experience to become an administrator for several projects. She managed the counseling internship program at The Salvation Army鈥檚 Adult Rehabilitation Center, co-founded a group practice and became its Clinical Director, and finally, partnered with a former 天美视频 professor and other alumni to co-create a post-graduate certificate program in relationally focused therapy.

Returning to the school as the Enrollment Manager, Krista sees this as an opportunity to return to where it all began. Fifteen years ago, she was looking for healing, learning, growth, and ultimately transformation. She found that in the 天美视频 community. And in receiving that gift, she was able to share it exponentially. Krista hopes to invite others to the rich experience the 天美视频 provides and offer support along the way to joining this community.

In her current听role as Director of Partnerships,听LaurenPeiser听focuses on cultivating mutually beneficial collaborations with outside organizations.听Since joining 天美视频 in 2018, she has also served as an Admissions Counselor and as the Admissions Manager.

Lauren听is passionate about linking together interdisciplinary partnerships where new understandings and discoveries emerge from places that could not be found alone.听Excited by 天美视频鈥檚 intersectional approach to learning, she finds an immense amount of joy when she has the opportunity to weave a diversity of perspectives and disciplines together for the common good.

Before working at 天美视频, Lauren focused on working in community partnerships for a food studies center at a community college in Arkansas. She also spent multiple years working in the food and wine industry (including harvesting grapes and making wine in Sonoma and New Zealand!) and she holds multiple certificates in wine education. The intersection of collective well-being, spirituality, and food is something that she is always researching and discovering more about, as in on The Allender Center Podcast.

Lauren听enjoys spending time in the woods with her two young sons and husband. She also loves hosting gatherings and dinner parties (where she’ll make sure to serve听you an awesome beverage).
